3. After the ADSL card is installed, turn on the computer power to start the system. After Entering the Windows interface, the system can automatically detect the newly installed unknown device, click "Next" as prompted to search for the latest ADSL card driver. After copying the relevant driver, the system will automatically detect the ADSL card;
4. When the "Service Option" Service window appears, you can select the "Advanced" button in the window and then open the Advanced Settings dialog box, you must enter the correct VPI and VCI values (which are generally provided by the vendor), and set Framing to the "LLC/SNAP" option;
5. In the ADSL mode setting item in the setting box, you must select the mode recommended by the vendor, and then click "OK, then you can return to the service selection page and click "Next". If the system prompts you to insert a Windows disc, you can directly Insert the disc, then, click "OK". When the new hardware wizard setting box appears, click "finish" and restart the computer;
6. After the built-in ADSL card is installed, you can configure the "network" parameter of the computer. Double-click "my computer", open the "control panel" window, double-click the "network" icon, open the "Network Properties" window, and select the "configuration" column, move the scroll bar to find and select the "TCP/IP/adsl pci nic" option, and then click "properties;
7. After opening the attribute settings window of the ADSL card, you can fill in the DNS settings only, instead of setting IP addresses, subnet masks, and gateway parameters, because these parameters are not used during dial-up. In the "DNS configuration" Settings, you can select "Enable DNS" and enter the name of the computer you used in the host column;
8. In the "DNS server search order" setting, you must enter the Domain Name Server address or other valid Domain Name Server address provided by the local ISP correctly, for example, the ISP address here is 202.102.11.141. Click "add" and then "OK". The system restarts the computer;
9. You need to set the VCI and VCI parameters of the built-in ADSL card. You can open the control panel and network window in sequence, select the ADSL built-in card "adsl pci nic" in the network window, select "properties" with the mouse, and click "advanced" in the displayed Properties window, in this setting column, you can set "VCI" to "35" and "VCI" to "32 ", set "VPI" under the setting interface to "0", select "OK", and then restart the computer;
10. If you use ADSL in Windows 9x to access the Internet, you also need to install virtual dialing software. Currently, there are two types of virtual dialing software: EnterNet300 and WinPoET. When installing the EnterNet300 virtual dialing software, you can use the default quick installation method to install the program, the installation process is exactly the same as that of a common program;
11. After the virtual dialing software is installed, you will see the EnterNet300 shortcut on the desktop. At the same time, on the properties page of the network component, you will also see a piece named "Efficient Networks Enternet P. p. p. o. E Adapter;
12. Double-click the EnterNet300 shortcut icon to open the virtual dial-up interface. Click Create new profile on the right of the interface to Create a new ADSL dial-up connection, enter a proper name for the connection. 13. Follow the on-screen prompts to establish the Enternet300 dial-up connection. After that, you will see the established dial-up connection on the right of the Enternet300 main interface.
