Uninstalling an Oracle database is not as simple as removing other software, especially for new employees who, when they remove a database reinstall, often appear to have a few inexplicable errors, or the installation will not succeed when they are installed again. Even with the Oracle-led uninstall service, there are some historical traces of the Oracle database or folders stored in the system, consuming the resources of the system, or affecting the normal operation of the system.
Follow the steps below to uninstall the Oracle removal:
1. If your database is configured with ASM automatic storage management, you should first remove the "Clustered Sync Service" CSS (Cluster Synchronization Services). The way to delete a CSS is to typing the following command on the MS-DOS command line and executing: localconfig-delete
2, in the Run Command box, enter services.msc run pop-up "Service dialog box", stop five Oracle services.
3, find Oracle Uninstall program Oracle Universal Installer (OUI), click "Uninstall Products", open "Product List", select the Oracle products need to uninstall, and click the "Uninstall" button, click "Confirm Uninstall", Begin removing the products that Oracle has installed.
4. Delete Automatic storage management (ASN) and enter the following command in the DOS command: Oracle-delete-asmid +asm
5, run regedit to start cleaning up the registry of the Project on Oracle:
1) Delete Hkey_local_machine/software/oracle directory
2 Delete hkey_local_machine/system/currentcontrolset/services inside, all the keys that begin with either Oracle or Oraweb.
3 Delete all keys that begin with Oracle in the Hkey_local_machine/system/currentcontrolset/services/eventlog/application.
4 Delete all keys in the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT directory that are prefixed by Ora, Oracle, ORCL, or Enumora.
