Workaround 2
"About" Vista use, hard drive lights will always flash "solution
Many friends install Vista, after the boot will appear a long time hard drive lights flashing phenomenon, and the computer has become very slow, open the "Process Manager", CPU utilization is not very high, almost 100%. Take a look at whether there is a process called "Taskeng.exe" CPU utilization, if it is high, congratulations, you can use my method to solve:
1, "Start" in the lower left corner--"All Programs"--"attachments"--"System Tools", find "Task Scheduler" and run.
2. On the left of the Task Scheduler, expand the Task Scheduler Library--microsoft--windows and locate the "MOBILEPC" item under it, with two task names HotStart and TMM in the middle of the click.
3, double-click TMM, in the pop-up box select the "Trigger" tab, under its see "Login", double-click him, pop-up a box "edit trigger", at the bottom there is a "enable" option is tick, remove its front hook, OK exit.
4, restart the computer to see if the hard drive lights will be turned on after 30 seconds, open the process manager, and then see if there are "Taskeng.exe" for a long time 100% CPU utilization. If the computer does not read the hard drive after 30 seconds after the boot all OK!
5, if the boot still has more than 1 minutes of crazy turn and "Taskeng.exe" of 100%, once again, go to Task Scheduler and cancel all of the scheduled tasks in the top 7 (if you want to use Media Center, keep it on), and then restart, and see, generally OK.
After the above operation, if everything is normal, your computer speed should be improved, no longer like the previous boot after the super slow! Memory usage will also be reduced a lot!
