Composite pie chart: Excel chart making Experience

Some people say that Excel is powerful, but 80% of users use only 20% of its functionality, while the rest of the 80% feature is used by only 20% people. This is true, the VBA programming in Excel and the use of many functions, most users are unfamiliar, and some have never even contacted, even if the graph function, many users contact is not much. But there are some problems, not that our work doesn't need to be, but that we need to be more familiar with the way we use Excel, such as pie charts.

Such a pie chart does not reflect the breakdown of the "young and infirm", so it is appropriate to use a composite pie chart for this type of chart.

A pie chart is a pie chart divided into two parts, with a small amount of the total or the specified portion of the individual to make a little cake to see more clearly. The method of compound pie chart is basically similar to the common pie chart, but it is different in some details, so the same adjustment methods as pie chart will not be repeat.

1. Select the cell that contains the table, click Chart button on the toolbar, and open the Chart Wizard-4 Steps 1-Chart Type dialog box. 4. In the Split series Drop-down list, select the location option to adjust the second plot contains the last value as the appropriate number, in this case, select 4. The meaning of these two items is to select the position in the last 4 items of data to form a second plot (click the up and down arrows to adjust the number size, in the adjustment process to watch the pie chart change). Adjust the value of the second plot size to change the size of the pie, and adjust the spacing to change the distance between the size of the pie. Adjust all the data, click OK, and close the Data Series Format dialog box. To adjust the format of the data, you have to figure it out.

5. In the figure, small cakes are the "other" in the pie, this is an Excel pie chart automatically generated a title, click "Other", and then click on it, in its editorial state, the "other" to "elderly and infirm", exit edit, that is, complete the diagram:

The diagram can also be plotted as a bar of pie, just select the pie option in the Standard Type list box in step 1th, select the last bar of pie in the list of chart types, and the other steps are the same, and you'll get a pie chart.

The 4th step is to select the location option in the Split series Drop-down list, which is a common way to place a specified item in a cookie. If you put smaller items in a cookie, you should select the number option in the Split series Drop-down list. The following is an example:

Based on the above data make a basic pie chart, click any piece of pie, open the Data Series Format dialog box, switch to the Options tab, select the Values option in the Split series Drop-down list, and adjust the value of the second plot containing data to be less than the appropriate number, this example selects 30.
