In terms of core switching and routing, some of the original system of data center can not meet the existing needs, mainly reflected in two aspects, 1 of the original system capacity density reduced, occupy a lot of space 2 of the original bandwidth is not enough to use, so need to add new channels or increase the bandwidth of the channel. The Sina network of a data center of the computer room integrated wiring transformation is mainly in the replacement of the original core part, the purpose is to improve the utilization of space, while increasing the number of core fiber links. The data center now has 2 floors, floors Three and two floors, with nearly 300 server cabinets per floor. One header cabinet is configured per 7-8 cabinets. Each floor has a core exchange and routing area (including the main wiring area). The horizontal wiring between the server cabinet and the header cabinet uses cat 6 twisted pair cable. The header cabinet is connected to the core exchange and the core area of the 2-storey floor through OM1 optical fiber. All optical wiring uses the 1HU height 24-core LC wiring frame, simultaneously also must configure the horizontal alignment frame. Such a structure greatly limits the bandwidth of the network. It also wastes quite a lot of space. The renovation plan of floor two is basically to cancel the core exchange, route and main wiring area of the floor two, move the core equipment (Exchange and route) all to the floor three, instead, set up a converging point on the floor two. The original OM1 fiber can only support million gigabit network, using the most commonly used 10GBASE-SR transceiver, the longest transmission distance of only 33 meters. After the transformation, the OM3 fiber +mpo connector is used to support the transmission distance of the 10GBASE-SR. and can be within 100 meters distance, support the future next generation 40G or even 100G ethernet. At present, switch manufacturers have introduced 100G Ethernet interface Board and 40G Ethernet network card. So Sina is very concerned about the technology of the next Generation Ethernet network. Special requirements for the transformation must be able to take into account the future development of the network.

The second is to save space, the original main wiring area using 1HU height of 24-core fiber wiring frame plus 1HU alignment device method, 2HU space only configured 24-core optical cable. After the transformation, the 5HU high-density fiber distribution frame can hold 288 cores of optical fiber with LC connector, such as the MPO Connector can reach 864 cores, and its own line rack. Greatly reduced the occupancy of the space. There is the use of pre-connected optical cable to bring many benefits.
