Files with RAR extension are compressed files in windows. How can I decompress files on Linux/Unix platforms? Two methods are introduced here:
1. Download extract RAR Linux/Unix Version, for http://www.linuxeden.com/download/DownSoft? Softid = 1350
Decompress the package and run the following command:
# Make
# Make install
Run the command line.
Packaging:
Usage: RAR <command>-<switch 1>-<switch n> <archive> <files...>
<@ Listfiles...> <path_to_extract/>
Decompress:
Usage: unrar <command>-<switch 1>-<switch n> <archive> <files...>
<@ Listfiles...> <path_to_extract/>
For detailed operations, refer to the help of these two commands.
2. After downloading a special decompression tool (the software above) and installing it correctly, you can decompress it directly.
The operation process is the same as that in windows. You can use the archive manager to open the file, or you can right-click the file and decompress it directly.
