Step one: Enable Audio Devices

Follow these steps to check if the audio device is disabled, and if it is disabled, re-enable the audio device:

1. Click "Start", right-click "My Computer" and select "Properties".

2. In the System Properties window, tap the Hardware tab, and then tap the Device Manager button.

3. In the Device Manager window, click the + sign next to sound, video, and game controllers. If an item in the sound, video and game manager drop-down menu has a red X icon, right-click the item and choose Enable.

4. If there is no red "X" on all speaker icons, skip to the next step.

Note: As an example of the Soundmax sound card above, if you do not have the name of your sound card under the sound, video and game controllers, your sound card does not have a driver installed, please skip to: Step two: Reinstall the sound card (audio) driver.

5. Enable all items under sound, video and game controllers, and then close the Device Manager window.

You must set the onboard audio settings in the BIOS according to the specific audio hardware configuration. Follow these steps to reset the onboard audio setting to Automatic:

1. The computer, repeatedly press "F1" key, until the "BIOS Settings" window open.

2.BIOS settings interface, press the "F5" key.

3. "Yes" or "OK", then press "enter" key.

4.f10 "key. Select Yes or OK, and then press the ENTER key to save the default settings.
