Multi-WAN port routers can serve as load balancing and line backup, and can expand bandwidth to improve network performance. More and more Internet cafes and enterprises choose multi-WAN port routers as egress gateways to connect to the Internet.
The following describes how to configure and use server load balancer by using ER5120 as an example.
[Requirement description]
An Internet cafe two 10 m telecommunications fiber access, now need to use TL-ER5120 load balancing.
Procedure:
1. Set the router to dual-WAN port mode (TL-WVR300 default dual-WAN port, no need to change)
Interface settings> WANPort mode:"Set WAN port mode to "dual WAN port" to save. After the configuration is complete, the first two interfaces (from left to right) on the front panel of the router are the two WAN ports of the router.
2. Set WAN port network parameters and upstream/downstream bandwidth:
Interface settings> WANPort settings:"Set the network parameters of the WAN port and the upstream and downstream bandwidth values of the line in WAN1 settings and WAN2 settings.
Note: Enter the upstream and downstream bandwidth values of the line!
3. Enable smart balancing:
Traffic balancing>Comprehensive settingsPage: Enable "Special Application Routing" and "smart balancing"
Now the settings are complete. For more settings, see other documents in the network classroom.
