Next I will briefly describe my design scheme: I put the ADSL Modem, the safe Broadband Router TL-WR245 and an AP in a study layer; this will cover a layer of more than half of the room. To keep everything in the room accessible, I set up an AP in the living room on the first floor to enhance the signal when using a notebook in the living room. I have set up an AP in the master bedroom on the second floor, so that the husband and wife can use their laptops, desktops, and Internet access in the bedroom; at the same time, it also takes into account the use of laptops for children to access the Internet. In addition, considering that Mr. Yang may use a notebook in the living room and dining room, an AP is set up on the wall near the dining room.

The hardware installation is quite simple: In the study's desktop computer, connect the ADSL Modem to the WAN port of the Wireless Broadband Router through the network cable attached to the ADSL Modem; a desktop computer inserts a TL-WN220M wireless adapter into a USB port, and then installs the drivers and tool software that come with the wireless adapter. The same applies to laptops. Just insert the wireless network card into the PCMCIA slot and install the driver and tool software. After installing the wireless Nic, We need to configure the Wireless Broadband Router.

Because the TP-LINK TL-WR245 provides a browser-based configuration interface, we can configure the Wireless Broadband Router in two ways: one is to use dual-host direct connection network cable to connect the LAN port of the Wireless Broadband Router; the other is to directly configure the Wireless Broadband Router through the wireless network card. For both methods, we need to first set the network TCP/IP attribute of the computer and set its IP address to 192.168.1.2 ~ Between 192.168.1.255, here we select 192.168.1.8, other parameters.

Next, you need to set the parameters for connecting to the WAN so that the router can automatically connect to the WAN. TP-LINK TL-WR245 can support four types of Internet access: Dynamic IP Access, static IP Access, PPPoE (virtual dial xDSL) and PPTP access type, basically covers all the commonly used broadband access. In this example, we use PPPoE (Virtual dialing xDSL), as shown below.
