PHP installation error

Checking libxml2 install dir... no
Check for xml2-config path...
Configure: Error: xml2-config not found. Please check your libxml2 installation.

 

Check whether the libxm package is installed

[Root @ xkwb3403 php-5.3.8] # rpm-Qa | grep libxml2
Libxml2-2.6.26-2.1.12
Libxml2-python-2.6.26-2.1.12

 

Reinstall libxml2 and libxml2-devel packages

Yum install libxml2

Yum install libxml2-devel-y

 

Find the xml2-config file after installation

[Root @ xkwb3403 php-5.3.8] # Find/-name "xml2-config"
/Usr/bin/xml2-config

 

Reinstall PHP if any

[Root @ xkwb3403 php-5.3.8] #./configure

 

The installation is successful

 

Compile later

Make & make install
