Open DNS Server Manager
Select new service area from the DNS menu, enter the computer name or IP address of the server, and click OK.
Configure the master DMS server.
Right-click the computer name and click Create area.
The dialog box for "computer name" to create a new region appears.
Select the primary node. Next step.
Enter the region name. when the focus is transferred to the region file box, the system automatically enters XXXX. dns
Next, complete.
Configure the secondary DNS server.
Right-click the computer name and click Create area.
The dialog box for "computer name" to create a new region appears.
Select secondary. Input region name
Enter the computer name and IP address of the second-level server. Next step.
The region Name box displays the region name. when the focus is transferred to the region file box, the system automatically type XXXX. dns
Next step
Enter the IP address of the master server in the IP control file.
Click Add. Next Step
Complete.
Configure the reverse query Area
Right-click the computer name and click Create area.
The dialog box for "computer name" to create a new region appears.
Select the primary node. Next step.
Enter the reverse search region name. when the focus is transferred to the region file box, the system automatically enters XXXX. dns
Next, complete.
Select attributes in the DNS menu
Click in the Notification Tab
Enter the IP address of the second-level DNS server in the notification list.
Click Add to confirm.
Add address and pointer records
Right-click the region name
Select New Host
Enter the computer name and IP address of the new host.
Configure an alias for the host
Right-click the region name
Select New Record
Select "CNAME record" in the record type"
Enter alias
Enter host name and domain name
OK
Configure WINS host name resolution
Right-click the region name
Select attributes.
Click WINS to view the tab.
Select to use WINS resolution.
Add the IP address of the WINS server.
OK
Select Update Server data file from the DNS menu.
