In order to test struts2 in eclipse, I found that eclipse on my machine did not integrate tomcat. I searched the internet for a long time, but this plug-in does not exist, that is, there are many precautions or version problems.
As a result, I directly downloaded one from the tomcatforeclipse plug-in and completed it according to the instructions provided.
There are so many configuration articles on the Internet.
Let's take a look at my configuration steps.
1. Install eclipse. This is downloaded from the official eclipse website. You don't need to know how to install the EXE file after the download. My version is,
Eclipse SDK
Version: 3.4.2
Build ID: M20090211-1700
2, download a tomcat, download one from the official Apache website, my next is, 6. x version, file name: apache-tomcat-6.0.20.exe (preferably 7.0)
Address Scheme.
After installation, it cannot be started. In the original installation, jre6 was used on the machine, and jre6 was used for Tomcat. It seems that jdk5 is not supported. Download jdk5 from Sun's official website,
My next step is jdk-rj5_0_19-nb-6_5_1-windows-ml.exe, which integrates the netbean version and is installed by default after being downloaded.
After the installation is complete, uninstall Tomcat and reinstall it. The JRE part is set to jre1.5. After the installation is complete, the service starts tomcat. input in the browser, http: // localhost: 8080/, OK, normally displayed on the page.
3. Download The Eclipse plug-in for Tomcat.
The installation instructions are available on this page. You can check the installation instructions in English.
My next ;tomcatpluginv321.zip
Decompress the package. Put the decompressed file in the plug directory of Eclipse ,.
Start eclipse and see the three icons,
At this time, click the three icons and a prompt will prompt you to tell you that you are not allowed.
You also need to configure the tomcat version and tomcat home, refer to the figure,
After the configuration is complete, click the application button to close it. Then, stop the Tomcat service from the window service,
Go back to the eclipse page, click the three icons, and click OK. The following Console window is shown,
Then open the browser, http: // localhost: 8080/OK, and tomcat starts
Finally, the configuration is simple. I am very quick at it. It is easy to confuse people by following the tutorials on the Internet. However, to put it bluntly, my article here also references some tutorials on the Internet.
We hope to help the configuration personnel.
