Confluence 6 download and install the Oracle thin driver

For license-based considerations, we cannot bundle Oracle drivers into confluence. If you want your confluence to be able to connect to an Oracle database, you need:

  1. Stop confluence.

  2. Go to the Database JDBC Drivers page and download the correct driver. The driver is usually named Ojdbc8.jar.

  3. Place the downloaded. jar file <installation-directory>/confluence/WEB-INF/lib in your directory.

  4. Restart Confluence, then use the browser to access http://localhost:<port> and follow the prompts for the next steps.
