Confluence 6 PostgreSQL creating databases and database users

Once you have successfully installed the PostgreSQL database:

1. Create a database user, for exampleconfluenceuser.

• Your new user must be able to create database objects (Create DB objects) and must have permission to log on ( can login).

2. Next, create a database (for exampleconfluence):

• owner is the user of your new database (for example:confluenceuser)

• Character encoding must be set toutf8encode.

• Collation must also be set toutf8. Other collations, such as "C", now know that there will be a problem when the confluence is used.

You can use the Pgadmin graphical interface to help you with your changes.
