Connect SecureCRT to Ubuntu
I use SecureCRT to remotely connect to Ubuntu in my virtual machine. An error is reported and the connection fails.
1. Run ipconfig on Windows and ifconfig on Ubuntu respectively.
Ping each other. The ping is successful.
2. ssh localhost on Ubuntu
No ssh service found
3. execute commands
Sudo apt-get install openssh-server
Ssh again
Ssh localhost
Now it is okay, So theoretically it should be better.
Open the link just now
Change the user name to my User Name joy and enter the password.
Continue to report the error ????
Check the prompt information
I will try again
Note the username in the image
Login successful
It seems that the error was caused by the username input of SecureCRT.
In fact, there are further reasons to explore. Please study the problems of logon by different user types on your own.
