Connect VNC to VMware vSphere ESXi5.5
Enabling VNC connection is for guestOS. You need to edit the guestOS to be connected.
First, stop the machine, and then edit it. Open option, Advanced, general, Parameters and click in.
Append parameters:
RemoteDisplay. vnc. enabled TRUE
RemoteDisplay. vnc. port 5901.
RemoteDisplay. vnc. password: Set the password for connection.
RemoteDisplay. vnc. keyMap jp (Japanese keyboard)
Then, modify the firewall policy in the host security, modify the VM serial port network connection, and edit the IP address range permitted by the firewall.
This method is successfully tested in esxi5.0 5.5.
Note. If ESXi does not run network storage (such as iscsi), it will not be affected.
If the firewall policy is enabled, you must add the IP address of the iscsi server to the licensed IP address. Otherwise, although esxi can be accessed actively, iscsi needs two-way communication to detect whether the machine is active or not, the system determines that the network storage is dead and the system shuts down because it cannot receive the response information.
