Method: downgrade
Create a backup domain controller before downgrading the master domain controller.
Note 1: You must contact the primary domain controller to establish a backup domain controller.
DNS is particularly important. Generally, you need to first create a DNS that works properly on the primary domain controller. Set the DNS of the backup domain controller as the primary domain controller IP address. Then, the NSLookup backup domain controller can contact the IP address of the Domain Name Pointing to the master domain controller.
Make sure that the netlogon service starts properly.
In this case, you can normally upgrade to the backup domain controller.
NOTE 2: After the backup domain controller is created, the master domain controller can directly perform the downgrade operation, which is likely to cause the downgrade to fail. After restarting the primary domain controller, you can perform the downgrade operation normally.
To change the IP address of the backup domain controller, restart the netlogon service of the backup domain controller.
