Cookie, Internet temp files, history, and temp directory paths in Windows (2000, XP, Vista, and win7)

To view this type of files, you need to set to show hidden files. The specific settings are as follows:
Open the Control Panel (classic view)-> Folder Options-> View-> advanced settings, and deselect the "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" check box )", replace "hidden files and folders" with "show all files and folders", and leave.

 

The "[user name]" in the following section is the user name currently logged on, usually as administrator.

2000. XP:
2000 XP is a familiar system, so you can directly list the paths of each folder.
COOKIE: C:/Documents and Settings/[user name]/cookies/
Internet temp files: C:/Documents ents and settings/[user name]/Local Settings/Temporary Internet Files/
History: C:/Documents ents and settings/[user name]/Local Settings/history/

Vista, win7:
In Vista and win7, the permission management is strict. IE7/IE8 uses the protection mode by default, and IE runs at a low level under the protection mechanism. If IE runs at a low permission, set the directory to the corresponding low directory, as shown below:
COOKIE: C:/users/[user name]/appdata/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/cookies/
C:/users/[user name]/appdata/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/cookies/low/

Internet temp files: C:/users/[user name]/appdata/local/Microsoft/Windows/Temporary Internet Files/
