CorelDRAW the cartoon image of Mann

We all know South Korea's Lake Manyara funny cute, today we use CorelDRAW to draw a lake Manyara (Figure 1), this process you will learn a lot of CorelDRAW painting skills. This article takes the CorelDRAW 9.0 version as an example, tells the trick which draws the cartoon.

Create a new file, the size of the file, first of all, we want to draw the approximate shape of the Lake Manyara, first draw the head, use the "oval tool" in the work area to draw an ellipse, press "Ctrl+q" to convert to a curve, press "F10" use modelling tools to modify the shape, You can also use the mouse to drag the ellipse's control handle to the circle deformation. If you want to control the shape of the ellipse by controlling the node, you must first curve the ellipse.

Ear: Use the same method, with "elliptical tool" to draw an ellipse, rotate it, first select the ellipse, then click the mouse again, the rotation of the arrow, drag the arrow can rotate. After adjusting the angle and position, copy one to make the right ear, then click on the "Horizontal flip tool" in the property bar.

Tip: Hold down the CTRL key, drag the rotation arrow on the object to rotate, each rotation angle of 15 degrees  Select the object you want to copy, press the "+" key on the keypad to quickly copy. Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the copied other ear to the right symmetrical position. Next is the convey, the body and the foot, the method is similar to above, here does not repeat. The final shape is shown in Figure 2.

Use the mouse to select objects other than the head and two ears, and weld the path by welding tool in the property bar, as shown in Figure 3.

Tip: 1. Shift-click the multiple objects you want to select to select multiple objects consecutively. 2. Using the Pick tool, hold down the right mouse button and drag the mouse to select the objects in the wireframe. 3. Use the "selection tool". Hold down the ALT key, and hold down the right mouse button to drag the mouse, the object will be selected when the line frame touches.

Select all objects and click the bounding box tool to change the border to 2 dots (thin) as shown in Figure 3. Fill color value: r:237 g:240 b:245. The color of the ear is white. Select the head by "Shift+pageup", which will represent the head circle on the top level. Below begins to draw Lake Manyara's facial features,

Eyebrows: Use "hand-drawn tools" to draw, draw a good one, copy and then reverse horizontally, with the keyboard arrow keys to move the object to the right relative position. Select two eyebrows and fill in black (Figure 4).

Mouth: Select the "elliptical tool" to draw 2 circles, as shown in Figure 5, using the "Pick tool" to select 2 circles, click on the property bar "intersect tool" can get Lake Manyara mouth (Figure 5). Fill the mouth with a red, hold down the SHIFT key to enlarge the mouth proportionally, and use the keyboard to move the mouth to the appropriate position of the Lake Manyara head (Figure 5).

Tip: In the state of using any tool, press the SPACEBAR to quickly switch to the "pick tool"

Tongue: Use "oval tool" to draw an ellipse, adjust the size ratio, move to the mouth appropriate position, hold down shift to select the mouth, press the "cross tool" to get the tongue, the extra circle removed, for the tongue fill a pink. With the tongue selected, click the "Frame Tool" in the toolbar and select "No frame" for your tongue (see Figure 6).

Teeth: Click "Polygon Tool" and enter 3 in the "Points of polygon" box in the property bar. Draw triangles back into the workspace, resize them, fill white, go to borders, press "+" to copy, and use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move 2 teeth to the right place.

The next step is to draw the shadow, use the "Pick tool" to select the head, press "+" copy, go to the box; hold down the SHIFT key to zoom it in, and then use the arrow keys to move the white circle to the position shown in Figure 1. Select "Styling Tool" and click on the path near the eyebrows (dotted line) by right-clicking on the right mouse button. Select "Add" to add 3 new nodes, using "modeling tool" to drag the middle of the node inward, through the pull point on the node to control the path of curvature, the shadow of the abdomen is the same, the first draw an ellipse, curved , and then use the styling tool to drag through the new nodes and the control points of the nodes to draw a shape like Figure 1.
