Most administrators may configure 2 or more resource pools depending on how important the application is. For example, this is a very common situation:
And in the subsequent use of the process, the production of the host are put into the PROD-RP resource pool, and the development of the virtual machine into the DEV-RP resource pool.
Because we usually think so, a high resource pool inside the virtual machine in contention will be able to than the low pool of resources in the virtual machine to grab more resources. (Once again, remember that the share does not work without contention)

When the virtual machine in the PROD-RP more and more, if one day you suddenly found that the production of the important virtual machine actually rob the development environment is not important virtual machine, please do not doubt their eyes. Yes, the fact is that the VM in the low RP has grabbed more resources than the VM in the high Rp.
So ask VMware administrators to keep their eyes open, think carefully, and arrange resource pools rationally. When necessary, coordinate with reservation and limit to allocate resources.
