When you log on to Outlook Web Access (OWA) on Windows Server 2003 (SP1), an error occurs when you run Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 due to file corruption in the directory of the compressed file.
When the file is damaged, IIS will produce an error: "The HTTP request for this page is now approved ." Other errors may also occur, including any script spam that does not seem relevant to the specific problem. The returned page is always in the loading status or cannot be loaded at all, and thus cannot be submitted correctly.
The problem has been detected by Microsoft and will be solved in the next patch of Windows Server 2003.
At the same time, the Microsoft patch used to solve this problem has been installed in 6.0.20.0.99 (10/29/2003), which contains W3core. dll.
There are two temporary solutions before the next patch for Windows Server 2003 appears.
1. When a problem occurs suddenly, stop running IIS, delete files in the IIS temporary compression folder, or regularly run a script to avoid the problem for a long time. If you select the system to do this automatically, pay attention to the network off-peak (for example, around 4 o'clock in the morning), so as not to reduce efficiency.
2. Destroy the compressed files on IIS. But do not do this as much as possible, because it is impossible to selectively destroy the compressed files of a site on IIS, and compressing (or hiding) Static content can save bandwidth and increase processing speed.
