Security Protection

The security of data centers has been concerned. Many people are worried about the leakage of their private data on the data center, which also shadows the rapid development of the data center. The data center is completely rooted in security protection, including firewall, traffic cleaning equipment, anti-virus software, and intrusion monitoring, however, the information leakage incidents in these years have not been reduced at all. In fact, security protection technology is developing, and virus and attack methods are also developing. After all, data centers are clearly located, and many security investments are made at one time, security protection devices cannot be updated frequently in a short period of time, but attack patterns can be constantly changed, and security devices may also have vulnerabilities, because these devices are built up by a large number of software code, as long as the software code is used, there will be bugs. It is a high probability that hackers can discover and break the vulnerabilities. Therefore, do not worry about deploying a bunch of security devices and software. Threats can exist at any time. At this moment, security does not mean security at the next moment. On the one hand, security software and anti-virus libraries should be constantly updated to fix vulnerabilities before hackers find them. Module price

In the process of purchasing network equipment, the data center often ignores the module price. It always feels that the module price is very low compared with that of the equipment and is not within the scope of consideration. In fact, the core network devices usually support hundreds of ports. If all the modules are configured, the price is also considerable, and may even exceed the price of the device itself, especially for some 40g and G optical modules, the price of a single device is not low. If you think that there are not many available ports when purchasing equipment, it is wrong to purchase a small number of ports first. The module is a consumable product and is damaged during use, and the optical fiber and network cable that are directly connected to the module are consumables, these parts should be stored more and replaced in time when damaged. At the same time, when purchasing equipment, the module part should be negotiated as a single item, and the module should be used in all network devices. In this way, the number of purchase modules is huge, and the price negotiation space is large, this greatly reduces procurement costs. Otherwise, the expenditure of only the module part may exceed the expenditure of the overall network equipment, which is not conducive to network construction.

Function Selection

When purchasing a data center, you like to list all functional devices and think that such devices are very powerful. In fact, the more features are supported, the more likely the quality of each feature is to decline. This is an inevitable rule. No device is designed to be omnipotent, and more or less there will be such a defect, these defects cannot be mentioned when you want to buy the device. When some features are used, the equipment vendor will tell you how to use them, and it will be too late to regret it. Therefore, at the beginning of the procurement, the functions that must be used by the data center should be listed. The functions of the corners should not be taken into account, and the devices must fully support the listing functions, and can withstand the test. In the past few years, with the rise of IPv6, almost all data centers require devices to support IPv6, but IPv6 functions have not been widely used and become a decoration. In order to support IPv6, some data centers, devices that support IPv6 are also specially used and are not used in the end. These devices are incorrect in terms of function selection. Many data centers require devices to support virtualization and SDN. However, the actual network conditions of the data center do not meet the deployment conditions, resulting in a waste of resources. Therefore, we need to filter out the selection of functions. We do not need to be big and complete, we do not need to pursue new technologies, and we need to be stable.

Architecture Design

Many data centers are not fully considered at the beginning of the design and are not reserved for future development. As a result, data centers cannot be built for several years and new data centers need to be created. The repeated changes in architecture design, demolition, construction, and demolition not only result in a waste of money and manpower, but also impede the development of data centers. The development of a data center is closely related to the architecture design. The architecture design must meet both current needs and future expansion needs, and be flexible and flexible, this cannot be solved by buying several devices.
