Wireless NetworkKey Performance Indicators (KPIs) testing is a direct verification of wireless network operation and service quality. It must pass the test on specific areas such as urban areas and highways) the parameter indicators of wireless network signals are objectively inspected and evaluated, and the problems found in the tests, such as dropped calls, weak coverage, and interference, are analyzed and corresponding solutions are obtained. Coverage and capacity testing are the main contents.
KPI testing should follow objective and scientific principles, by developing test targets, determining test content, refining test cases, building test environments, preparing test tools and instruments, executing test plans, analyzing test results and problem reproduction, and completing test reports, etc. links are completed together.
1. test objectives
The purpose of the coverage test is to determine the coverage of various businesses in the tested community, and determine whether the network coverage is limited by the uplink or the downlink, and pass the test, under the conditions of smart antenna, the TD-SCDMA system obtains the network coverage performance and related actual data under different propagation conditions, the same frequency and different frequency networking conditions, it provides some guidance for the network construction of TD-SCDMA communication system.
The purpose of capacity test is to obtain the maximum number of users in the TD-SCDMA community under the same frequency networking and different frequency networking conditions, analysis of TD-SCDMA system capacity under different conditions, this paper analyzes the impact of base station configuration, terminal performance, business model, and other factors on system capacity, obtains the system network design and planning scheme, and provides a reference for network construction and operation maintainers.
2. Test the Network Environment
The minimum size of the network is the network structure of a layer of cells. There are 7 cells that constitute cellular coverage, and the central site is the main test area. The test site type can be divided into omnidirectional and targeted sites; the test environment can be intensive urban areas, general urban areas, suburban areas and remote suburbs.
3. testing systems and tools
The network system to be tested should be in normal working status, meeting the needs of various business voice, videophone, and group businesses. In addition to real-time data collection, RNC and base stations should also have the simulated Loading Function of OCNS (OrthogonalChannelNoiseSource) to construct certain test conditions.
Test Tools include road test system and network-side test instrument. The road test system includes a complete set of systems, including data collection front-end, global positioning GPS, laptops, and specialized testing software. The Network-side test instrument is mainly composed of protocol analyzers for each interface. It obtains important information on the system side based on the system operation and maintenance platform. Through joint analysis with the records of the road tester, we can obtain complete information about the wireless network in the test process, so as to accurately obtain the test results and locate the problem more easily.
4. Test content
1) coverage test
In the coverage area of each TD-SCDMA system, under the same frequency networking and different frequency networking conditions, select a single cell for coverage testing. Covered test objects include P-CCPCH channels and various business channels. According to the actual network settings, the test of the P-CCPCH channel, using wireless signal omnidirectional transmission; the test of the Business Channel, using smart antenna shaped transmission, business generally includes AMR12.2kbit/s), visual phone, PS business downlink, etc.
According to the TD-SCDMA of the network mode for the same frequency or different frequency, the Community whether there are other users, adjacent communities exist interference, specific test items are divided into coverage tests under the closure of adjacent communities, coverage tests under the same-frequency networking, and coverage tests under the different-frequency networking. Under each coverage test, there are three scenarios: no other users in the residential area, some users in the residential area are loaded) and full user load in the residential area. It should be noted that, due to the different wireless resources used by different businesses, all loading methods cannot be fully applied to all business channels.
2) Capacity Test
Capacity testing should be conducted for the various businesses mentioned above. It should be noted that hybrid businesses, such as PS grouping businesses and AMR voice businesses, should be checked during the testing process.
The Network Mode of TD-SCDMA is the same frequency or abnormal frequency, whether there is a user in the adjacent zone, the specific test items can be divided into several situations: Capacity Testing for closed adjacent communities, Capacity Testing for same-frequency networks, and Capacity Testing for cross-frequency networks.
