Create an ftp account with low Permissions

1. Install vsftp server on the target server
 
2.
 
# Useradd-d/ftpdir ftpuser create an ftp user and specify the home directory as the upload directory
 
# Passwd ftpuser Enter Password
 
# Chown ftpuser/ftpdir change the owner of the upload directory so that it has the permission to change
 
# Usermod-s/sbin/nologin ftpuser prevents users from logging on through various shells
# Usermod-s/sbin/bash ftpuser user resume normal
 
3. Modify/etc/vsftpd. conf
Chroot_list_enable = YES restrict users and can only access Home Directories
Chroot_list_file =/etc/vsftpd/chroot_list User Name List restricted to access (this file needs to be created and added to the user name)
 
4./etc/init. d/vsftpd restart
