Cross-server SQL query Solution

Query format:

Select *
From OpenDataSource (
'Sqlodb ',
'Data source = servername; user id = sa; Password = Sa'
). Databasename. DBO. Table

Note: Only the insert, select from prediction join, and select from natural prediction join statements support OpenDataSource.
If this problem persists, SQL Server reports an error. To enable the ad hoc distributed queries component, use the following method:

Exec sp_configure 'show advanced options', 1
Reconfigure
Exec sp_configure 'ad hoc distributed queries ', 1
Reconfigure

However, because the ad hoc distributed queries component has security risks, you must disable it after use. The method is as follows:

Exec sp_configure 'ad hoc distributed queries ', 0
Reconfigure
Exec sp_configure 'show advanced options', 0
Reconfigure
