Dotnetnuke contains the module CSS, skin CSS, container CSS, and portal CSS.
The detailed cssfile is stored in the local directory named module.css, for example, localhost/dotnetnuke/desktopmodules/module.css.
The skin's cssfile is under the skin's directory, and the file name is skin.css.
The file name is container.css.
In each portaldirectory, the file name is portal.css, such as localhost/dotnetnuke/Portals/0/portal.css.
Dotnetnukeimplements module.cssat the beginning of css. after that, skin.css and container.css are used, and portal.css is used at the end.
If we need to modify the style of a module on the page, which file should we modify? The answer is to re-write the sample in portal.css without modifying module.css. This is because:
1. This module may be used in other portals of the same host, and the default style may not need to be modified in other portals.
2. If is upgraded, the upgrade process will overwrite module.css and the modifications will be lost.
If you are a development developer and your demo is not in the skin, you can check whether the style in le.css is overwritten by the style in the skin.
