Many of the things we do in our lives and work are out of habit, and sometimes we don't even think about why we want to do it, or even don't realize that we have already done it. For habits, we seem to seldom realize its existence, and even regard many things made out of habits as insignificant, it seems that only things that let us bid our brains to come up with a solution are important. Otherwise, it is very important to develop a habit. For example, we seldom think about why we should eat, even if you are not very hungry, This is a habit. isn't eating important? Just like breathing, do you realize that you are breathing? The habit of breathing has gone deep into instinct. Who will think "oh, I should breathe" and then breathe again? If you want to remind yourself to breathe, then who can go to bed? Therefore, habits are often important and often have to be done. Since we plan to cultivate time management into our daily life and work habits, we must first persuade ourselves why time management is important and needs to be done frequently.
Why is time management important? First, let's discuss the purpose of time management. I believe that the purpose of the concept of time is to make our life and work more orderly and efficient, so as to ease our pace and adjust our own mentality, in order to achieve a calm, calm state. These words seem a bit mysterious. I will explain them one by one. Instead of thinking about "promotion" and "higher positions and salaries" As soon as I mention "Time Management, although I mentioned in my article "Time Management-neglected ideas" that each of us is eager to be promoted and to be recognized by more people, I think it is necessary to emphasize the following points: time management is only one of the essential conditions for these goals. That is to say, in order to keep improving, time management is a must-have skill, but at the same time, many other necessary conditions such as opportunities and space for development are required, only when these conditions are met can good results be obtained. However, in this series of articles, we only intend to explore the time management skill. In order to avoid the problem, we should pull it back quickly.
I remember an old jigsaw puzzle game where blocks of several polygon must be placed in a certain order in a fixed-size Square wooden frame. If they are not found in a proper order, they should be placed in it, in the end, there will always be a piece of imposition that will be more or less out of the area. Time management is like this game. We need to arrange our daily transaction items in some order. If the order is correct, without an accident, we do not need to take up the extra time of the day or wait for some things to be postponed until the next day, and the transaction seems so appropriate. This requires us to consider the importance of this transaction, in addition to the efficiency of the order between the transaction and the transaction when we schedule a seat for the transaction. For example, today I went to the bank to do some business. Next, I wrote a plan book back to my company, but another less important thing is to go to the famous snack bar near the bank to buy some snacks and bring them back to my parents. If the order is simply sorted by priority, it is clear that I should go straight to the company after completing the business from the bank, and then go to the snack bar after my shift. However, obviously, the extra time spent on the road will affect my study schedule at night. To ensure that the study time is not compressed, I have to postpone my sleep ...... That is to say, if the sequence is not found, a piece of wood won't be placed in the wooden frame of that square. If I leave the bank and go straight to the snack bar and then return to the company, it seems that I didn't arrange the order according to the importance of the transaction, but it improved the efficiency. This is why I do not advocate focusing only on importance. Once a process is rigid, it is difficult to be efficient. If there is no efficiency, people will feel very tired and confused and have no sense of accomplishment.
Once we find the correct order, the transaction arrangement will appear orderly. When we handle it one by one, there will often be a sense of confidence. Working and living in the city, we often feel exhausted and idle. It seems that we have been constantly moving forward from opening our eyes early to closing our eyes at night, I have no spare time to stop, but for a month or a year, I think about how far I have been running. It seems that I have not made much progress and I am standing in the same place, think back to what you saw during the running process, and it seems that there is a blank space in your mind, it is difficult to think of anything. In the long run, you will feel that your life is fast and your work is under great pressure, and your heart seems to be jumping wildly. It is difficult to slow down and relax, as a result, many friends who have lived in a long city like to walk together in the green mountains and waters to relieve their feelings, not just watching cement forests in the city, in order to listen to the stream of the stream, and to see the lush mountains and mountains, the fatigue of the body has been lost for a long time. However, there are always not many opportunities to spend a lot of time traveling. If we can arrange the affairs we need to deal with well every day, we will also relax our body and mind, if you do not need to be anxious and irritated every day, you will not be so eager to escape from the city and stay in the natural world.
If we stick to time management every day, after a long time, many places will undergo qualitative changes due to the accumulation of quantitative changes. We will find that we will feel calm in the face of to-do transactions, and will not start to worry as soon as we see there are other things to be done. If we don't finish it quickly, it seems we will feel guilty, once things gradually increase, we have to constantly put pressure on ourselves until we put ourselves down. A dry man either has a strong body to carry a heavy burden, or falls down early. "The body is the capital of the revolution", but it is not intended to be a target to block bullets during the revolution. We advocate clever work, that is, to first find the order, and then make all the wood blocks can be placed in a fixed size wooden frame. If we can arrange our work and life in an orderly and calm manner every day, then after a period of time of subtle training, we may be able to reach a calm realm, that is to say, we can make a proper response to all kinds of things, which is neither extreme nor slow. Look at the lake. If there is no strong wind on the water and there is no yacht galloping over, the water is usually as calm as a mirror. If you drop a small stone at this time, the water surface will stir up a small wave of waves; if you take a large stone and throw it down, the water will stir up a high water. However, how much waves the lake uses to respond to you depends on the size and speed of the stone you threw down. It will not put more energy into a small stone, it will not appear insufficient in front of a large rock. Therefore, if we are able to achieve a quiet state, we will not feel the fatigue of our life, the fatigue of our work, and we will be able to start talking about how to work happily and enjoy our work.
I used four sections to discuss the importance of time management in order to persuade everyone to pay attention to this concept. Only when you are aware of the importance of time management can you persuade yourself to cultivate it into a habit. Due to space limitations, I would like to talk about how to cultivate time management into a habit. As for the Operation Details of time management, I will discuss it in a later article.
Time management has two prime periods: 1, before going to bed; 2, after getting up. I am more inclined to recommend that you spend 5-10 minutes before going to bed every day to schedule the next day's transaction. before going to bed, the environment is usually relatively quiet, in such an environment, people may think more comprehensively and deeply. At the same time, today's time is over, what has been done, what has been postponed, what experience has been gained, and what lessons have been learned can be used as a reference for the preparation of the next day's management. When you plan the next day, your brain does not stop working when you go to bed, it will pre-process the plan (but people are still not very thorough in their research on the brain, so I cannot guarantee it will always happen in 100%), and when I get up the next morning, I am in a good mood and have a good spirit. I may have some ideas for improving my plan the night before. But some people get used to going to bed when they get sleepy. This kind of person is more suitable to spend 5-10 minutes to develop a time management plan after getting up the next morning. Although this seems a little hasty, it varies from person to person. Only the method that suits you is a good method.
When formulating a time management plan, we must adhere to two principles: first, starting from the global perspective, not simply looking at each transaction, we need to make plans from the global perspectives of today, this week, and this month. Second, we need to make plans easily and quickly, I am opposed to spending too much time every day thinking about what to do and what to do, and then developing a complicated calendar. I think it is enough to spend 5-10 minutes every day to make a plan, sometimes the importance of transactions is inaccurate during planning. Just listen to your first response. Time management is designed to make our work and life easier. If time management is complicated, so before we start to do things every day, we are already in the quarary of thinking about how to do things. It is worth the candle!
