Generally, the higher the reader output power, and the larger the antenna size, the longer the communication distance. However, in actual use, you sometimes want a shorter communication distance to confirm a single tag. In addition, there are tags that are automatically read from the RFID tags attached to items in the pipeline, and tags that are manually read from the RFID tags on the items stored in the warehouse. Currently, the following types of readers can be used for different purposes:
× Substrate, small
Small-sized readers have the characteristics of small antennas and short communication distances. Therefore, it is used in shops and other places where large readers cannot be placed to read a single reader. In addition, the substrate type is provided as a reader module and can be embedded into other devices for use.
× Linear (handy type)
The operator holds the RFID tag in his/her hands, as in his/her name. You can record the read RFID tag information in the internal file system, or send the information through the wireless network while reading it. (Tony Note: At present, most of the attention-type readers are only slightly larger than bar code readers ).
Because the memory reader has a battery, it is used to send electric waves during reading, so there is a need for charging. Generally, in order to prolong the use time, the radio wave power is set relatively small, so there is a tendency to have a short communication distance.
× Panel Type
The flat reader has a larger antenna than a small one, so the communication distance is longer than that of a small one. It is generally used in scenarios where the pallets and projects need to be read automatically.
× Tunnel
In general, once the angle of the RFID tag and the reader is 90 degrees, it is difficult to read. Tunnel reader has an antenna in all directions on the inner wall, which emits waves from different directions. No matter what direction the RFID tag is placed, it can be read. It can be read normally without changing the direction of the item in the box.
× Door type, large door type
A reader that automatically reads an RFID tag without any operation. The portal reader can be used to prevent store theft or as an entry/exit management. A large portal reader is used as an RFID tag to automatically read from the box.
