Customizing how Excel data is sorted

Here's a table sorted by Product ID, and now the goal is to sort the table by category "Seafood, special products, cereal/cereal, meat/poultry" sequence.

1. Select a cell in the table that you want to sort, switch to the Data tab, and in the sort and filter group, click the Sort button.

2. In the Pop-up Sort dialog box, set the primary keyword to category, and then click the button to the right of the Order Drop-down box to select Custom series.

3, open the Custom Series window, enter the custom sort sequence in the input sequence text box, where different entries need to be separated by a carriage return.

4, return to the Sort dialog box, click OK button.

5, OK, as shown in the following figure, has implemented a custom sort of Excel data. Fellow friends try this method themselves.
