A hospital DCOM Imaging system storage, IBM ds3200,12 block 300GB SAS hard Drive, RAID5, Hot-spare, divided into two groups of logical driver, capacity of 2TB and 1.3TB, storage data volume of about 1TB.
Due to cluster system (dual-machine) failure, RAID information is lost when switching, IBM Engineer activation is unsuccessful, need to recover data.
The approximate process is as follows:
1, turn off the DS3200 power, all 12 hard drives all removed, marked good (to determine the operation is reversible, for data recovery is not necessary). The DS3200 power supply is no longer turned on.
2, according to the "RAID after the full backup of the data" in the backup mode, the source disk to do a full backup, after the completion of the backup back to the original disk, to ensure that the recovery process is completely free of risk. Select a RAID5 target storage for backup to ensure backup data security and avoid prolonged recovery cycles due to data failures, and our target is stored as Dell MD3000 (12*1TB RAID5). If the data is especially urgent, you can recover the data to another storage medium directly in a read-only manner, under the premise of soliciting the customer's consent, as shown below.
3, to do a good 12 hard disk image for logical analysis, the focus is: Disk sequence (these 12 hard disk in the original controller of the combination order), block size (that is, the stripe size of the original RAID), check mode (check the cycle direction, the same stripe data sorting method, etc.), logical Driver the starting position on each single disk, whether the data is full (whether the old disk needs to be removed).
4, according to the analysis of good raid parameters, build a virtual RAID controller (software simulation), through the virtual RAID controller to the Tan Pan (or mirroring) organization, to form a virtual volume (read-only).
5, the virtual volume to do File system interpretation, export data (read-only), that is, complete all the data recovery process.
In this case, mirroring takes about 10 hours, the analysis structure takes about half an hour, and the recovery data takes about 10 hours.
