Oracle announced the following: Database Control (also known as DBControl or Database Console) will be abandoned in major Versions later than Oracle db 11.2.

Database Control is fully supported in the lifecycle of Oracle db 11.2 (including all patch set and extension support ). In the future Oracle database versions, basic database management will be performed through a streamlined management tool. At the same time, extensive management functions will be implemented through Oracle Database Plug-in from Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control.
