Database log compression scheme with mirroring

Compression with mirrored databases, if some cases do not follow the steps, you may not be able to compress the database

1:backup Log

BACKUP LOG [Database name]
To DISK = N ' Path\txxx.bak '
With Noformat, noinit, NAME = database name-transaction Log Backup ',
SKIP, Norewind, nounload, STATS = 10
2: Ensure synchronization is complete

Note Make sure that the mirror status is already synchronized.

3: Pause Mirroring

Pause mirroring, click "Pause"

4:shrinkfile

Execute command: DBCC shrinkfile (N ' logic name ', 0)

Do you want to see if the log file is smaller? You can do it several times (step: 1~4) If it is not smaller.

5: Turn on mirroring

When mirroring is turned on
