Datazen custom map, datazen custom
Zookeeper
Datazen's map data definition is mainly based on ESRI's Shape file format, which is now widely used as a map data format. In Datazen, the following two map data definition files must be provided for a custom map:
- The SHP file provides map location data
- The DBF file provides the metadata information of the file.
At the same time, the NAME field in the metadata must match the NAME in the location data.
After preparing the two data parts, you can upload them to the system on the control panel of the system.
First Click Upload Map Shape... Button, enter a name for the map, specify the location of the shape file and data file in sequence, and click the Upload button to start uploading data.
This map can be used in Datazen publisher.
You can also directly upload a map in Publisher.
Select the shp and dbf Files.
It should be noted that Datazen has a size limit of kb for the shp files to be uploaded. This is mainly for the sake of performance. The shape files in the market cannot be found at all, therefore, to meet the requirements of a map, you can use tools to reduce the accuracy of the map, such:
In this website, you can upload local shp files, and then reduce the map accuracy online, thus reducing the map file size.
The following are the effects of the original file and reduced precision.
