Summary: Virtual machine hard disks can be expanded, but cannot be scaled down. If you want to install an operating system, you must have the system on a CD or image file.

vmware tools and the virtual machine needs to be shut down.
( windows client mapping to a network drive ) option, you need to type \\vmvare-host\shared Folders ( Note the capitalization ) vmware-host folder, go to shared Folders folder, you can also find the shared folder. For linked clones, the cloned virtual machine shared folder is not turned on by default after the original virtual machine opens the shared folder.
