Lab Name: Virtual machine installation and Win7 installation of the system

Experimental Description: Learn to install virtual machines and install different systems to meet the different needs of users at different times

Experimental steps:

Steps2: Click File-New Virtual Machine-Next Step-Select the guest operating system and version-Select the virtual machine installation location-set the processor, memory, and so on for a virtual machine-Complete Bare-metal installation of the virtual machine

Steps4:Win7installation-Click Next-Select a custom(Advanced)-Click Drive Options-partitioning the hard disk-Next Step-until the system is automatically installed successfully

Summary: Virtual machine hard disks can be expanded, but cannot be scaled down. If you want to install an operating system, you must have the system on a CD or image file.

Experiment Two:

Experiment Name: To provide access to a virtual machine in a host folder

Experiment Description: to facilitate virtual machine access to the physical computer's file resources

Experimental steps:

Steps1: When the virtual machine is turned on, click the Virtual Machine menu-Select InstallVMware ToolsOptions-Canceling software updates-Open Resource Manager-ClickDVDDrive-Run the Setup Wizard-Restart the virtual machine as prompted-Click the Virtual Machine menu-reinstallation occursVMware Toolsoption to indicate that the installation was successful

Steps2: Click Edit Virtual machine settings-Click Options-Click Shared Folder-Select Always Enable-Tick(in theWindowsmapped to a network drive in the client)-Click Add

Steps 3 : Run the Add Wizard - Next Step - Select the folder you want to share - Next Step - Complete

Steps 4 : Turn on the virtual machine - go to Resource manager - Select Shared Folders

vmware tools and the virtual machine needs to be shut down.

( windows client mapping to a network drive ) option, you need to type \\vmvare-host\shared Folders ( Note the capitalization ) vmware-host folder, go to shared Folders folder, you can also find the shared folder. For linked clones, the cloned virtual machine shared folder is not turned on by default after the original virtual machine opens the shared folder.
