Day2 -- set the NIC through setup, day2 -- setup the NIC
Configure the IP address. After installing centos, you must configure the IP address as follows:
1. First enable the VM, as shown below:
2. log on to the root account as follows:
3. Enter setup and press Enter. There are many ways to set the IP address. The simplest way is to configure the IP address as follows:
4. Press the up and down cursor, select Network configuration, and press Enter to go to the next step, as shown below:
5. Select the NIC. There are two configurations in the above step: Nic and DNS, as shown below:
6. Select the NIC. Because an additional Nic is created and there are two NICs, configure the first Nic and press Enter to Enter, as shown below:
7. Configure Nic information, Nic name, Nic device, etc., which are not modified by default. [select [*] In Use DHCP. If not selected], click [OK, as follows:
8. Save the configured Nic information as follows:
9. After the configuration is complete, press Enter to save and exit, as shown below:
10. Click Quit to exit the configuration and complete the configuration process as follows:
11. The NIC information is successfully configured as follows:
12. Start the NIC. Enter ifup eth0 in the system and start the configured Nic eth0, as shown below:
Note:Remind Determining IP information for eth0. .. done. indicates that the NIC is successfully started.
If an error occurs during Nic startup, check the virtual network editor to see if the settings are adequate, as shown below:
The procedure is as follows: on the Virtual Machine page, choose edit & gt; = & gt; Virtual Network Editor & gt; = & gt; NAT mode & gt; = & gt; select use local DHCP service to assign IP addresses to virtual machines (D))] = "[OK]
Check the box and enter a new one.Ifup eth0, Restart the NIC
13. Enter ifconfig to check whether the IP address is successfully created, as shown below:
14. Use window to connect to the IP address you just created. In the process, click Windows [run] =, enter the cmd command to open the interface =, and enter ping your own IP address, as shown below:
【Note]: If ifup eth0 cannot be obtained, check whether your Windows configuration is complete. The process is as follows:
Summary:
1. The entire Nic configuration process is as follows: execute setup command →Network configuration→ Eth0 (select DHCP for now) → click "OK" → "Save & Quit" → "Quit" after configuration is complete, and then exit the command line interface.
The configuration is essentially modifying the NIC configuration file/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 content.
2. ifup eth0
IP address retrieval may take a longer time. If the retrieval fails, check the preceding two solutions. (1) [Use DHCP to assign IP addresses if selected]; (2) whether or not VMware DHCP and NAT are successfully started in Windows;
3. view the obtained IP address in ifconfig eth0.
4. Then run Windows --- start --- run --- Enter cmd to enter the dos window and ping the IP address seen in ifconfig. Do not ping the IP address above. ping the IP address you created.
5. The above 14 steps show the connection status, indicating that you can use a notebook to connect to the virtual machine.
You can use Bridging networks by yourself. A few people can use bridging. You must have a router to bridge the network. Dialing cannot bridge the network, and LAN can use bridging.
