To download DB2 10.5FP10 on 64-bit Linux as an example, the steps are as follows:

1.) Open fix Pack Download Center:

2.) Select Fix Pack 10

3.) Expand Linux 64-bit, x86-64 on ADM64 and Intel EM64T

4. Select the server Fix Pack

Issue 1:universal fix Pack and server Fix pack differences

The main difference between the Universal fix pack and the server fix pack is that the former can only be used for upgrades (that is, the DB2 is installed on the machine and needs to be upgraded), and the latter can be installed directly on the new machine in addition to the upgrade, so it is recommended to download the server fix Pack.

3.) After completing steps 1th and 2nd, you can log in to the PPA website and then find and download the corresponding license based on part number.

4.) After the download is complete, register the license on the DB2 server

After extracting the file name Db2_aese_pvu_qs_activ_10.5.0.5.zip, locate the Db2aese_tb.lic file, and then use the following command to register the license file

Db2licm-a Db2aese_tb.lic

and use Db2licm-l to view the registration results
