DBCA encountered a ORA-01031 when creating an ASM Database

Source: Internet
Author: User

This is the case. One of my servers installed Oracle11gR201, And the grid Infrastructure and Database software were respectively installed by the Grid and oracle users. As a result, when using the dbca tool to create a Database, when the progress bar is 96%, an error is reported. dbca trace. log content:

The log content can be easily determined, which is a permission issue! And the database can be started manually! However, the srvcrl command cannot be started:

[Grid @ instsvr1 ~] $ Srvctl start database-d srcbdc
PRCR-1079: Failed to start resource ora. srcbdc. db
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
CRS-2674: Start of 'ora. srcbdc. db' on 'instsvr1' failed

After checking, I found that because my Grid Infrastructure and Database were managed by different users, and the Database creation process was due to the use of asm, therefore, the database should be upgraded to the grid on the left after the database is created. However, because the grid user is not in the dba group of the oracle user, the database cannot be started, that is, the resource cannot be started as mentioned in the error: ora. srcbdc. db

Solution: Add the grid user to the dba group.
