RJ-45 interface

RJ-45 interface legend
RJ45 is a common name that is standardized by IEC (60) 603-7 and uses a modular jack or plug with 8 locations (8-pin) as defined by international connector standards. IEC (60) 603-7 is also the reference standard for connecting hardware of ISO/IEC 11801 Universal Integrated Wiring Standard.
RJ-45 interfaces can be used to connect RJ-45 connectors for networks built on twisted pair wires, which are the most common port that is generally provided by Ethernet hubs. We usually talk about how many port router, refers to the number of RJ-45 port.
Because in Fast Ethernet also mainly uses Twisted pair as transmission medium, according to the port communication rate of different RJ-45 port can be divided into 10Base-T network RJ-45 port and 100Base-TX network RJ-45 port two types.
The RJ-45 port of the 10Base-T network is usually identified as "ETH" in the router, while the RJ-45 port of the 100Base-TX network is usually identified as "10/100 bTX ", this is mainly because most of the current fast Ethernet router products still adopt 10/100 Mbps bandwidth adaptive. In fact, the two kinds of RJ-45 port is completely the same as the port itself, but the corresponding network circuit structure in the port is different, so it cannot be casually connected.
The RJ-45 port of the hub can be directly connected to Terminal devices such as computers, network printers, or other switches, hubs, and other collection devices and routers. Note that when connected to different devices, the cable sequence of the twisted pair cable varies.
RJ-45 connector (Crystal Head)

RJ-45 connector (connector) legend
RJ45 network cable plug, also known as the Crystal Head, is made of a total of eight cores. It is widely used in Lan and ADSL broadband Internet access users' network equipment Network cable (referred to as cat-5e or twisted pair wires) connection. It is called the "Crystal head" because its appearance is crystal clear. This RJ-45 plug must be installed on both ends of the twisted pair RJ-45 to facilitate network communication through the RJ-45 interface of the NIC, Hub, or Switch.
Difference of RJ-45 and RJ-11
The RJ-45 plug is similar to the RJ-11 telephone line in shape and exterior, but wider, due to the difference in size between the two (for 4 or 6-pin, RJ45 for 8-pin connectors ), obviously, the RJ45 plug cannot be inserted into the jack. In turn, it is physically feasible (the plug is smaller than the RJ45 jack), which makes people mistakenly think that the two should or can work together. This is not the case. We strongly recommend that you do not use the plug for the RJ45 jack.
Because iis11 is not internationally standardized, its size, insertion strength, insertion angle, and so on are not in accordance with the design requirements of the international standard connectors, it cannot ensure interoperability. They even cause damage to both. Because the plug is smaller than the RJ45 jack, the plastic parts on both sides of the plug will damage the metal pin of the inserted Jack.
