Dell will cut micro-NB prices and fight back to Asus HP

On June 1, Dell's blog confirmed Dell's plans to slash the price of micro-laptops, launching attacks on Asus, MSI and HP in the "Netbook" notebook market.

Dell officially released the news after Dell chief executive Michael Dell presented a new miniature notebook computer at the "All Things Digital" conference in California this week.

The details of the matter are not much. However, Dell's blog disclosed that Dell had positioned the micro-notebook computer as the perfect device for the next 1 billion Internet users. The picture of this miniature laptop shows that the laptop has two color choices: black or red.

This miniature laptop is like Dell's Mini Inspiron, with three USB ports, SD card readers, VGA outputs, and Ethernet connections. However, Dell has not yet officially released the technical specifications and prices of such laptops.

Dell released the news after Asus and Hewlett-Packard announced similar news. ASUS believes it will achieve its target of selling 2 million PCs in the first half of the year, as planned. Depending on the configuration, the sales price of the easy PC is 299 to 549 USD.

The Low-cost processors provided by Intel and Granville are the main factors driving the growing momentum of micro-laptops. "We haven't seen a lot of enthusiasm from our users for a long time," said Paul Otellini, chief executive of Intel. Everyone sees the tiny laptop as a product of the rapid expansion of the existing market.
