At present, I still cannot enjoy any of the several cloud computing services provided by ESRI in China. In other words, I am afraid of using ESRI because it is slow to access Amazon in China, and that wall, God knows when he will attack. However, research is still needed. At the same time, even without the help of ESRI, the software for deploying ArcGIS on Amazon EC2 instances can also be self-reliant.
In fact, this process is relatively simple. When starting an instance, we need to pay attention to allowing SSH and other services that are not available in the security group settings (for example, I chose POP3 ), then install the SSH server such as copssh on the remote instance. With SSH, you can upload the installation media through SFTP and perform remote installation.
With the media, you can install ArcGIS software. Here, ArcSDE is deployed, and the rest are normally the same, however, when creating the SDE service, pay attention to the Service port using the POP3 port (110) configured above. After successful creation, you can access the SDE service running on this instance from anywhere as usual:
