In the previous blog post, we captured the template machine for a WIM image, which is the operating system image we want to deploy to the client, and we first need to import it into the operating systems node

Right-click on the Operating Systems node and select "Import Operating Systems"

650) this.width=650; "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/4C/67/wKioL1Q8ueOjKpofAAJalICId6k072.jpg "style=" float: none; "title=" 37.png "alt=" Wkiol1q8ueojkpofaajalicid6k072.jpg "/>

Select "Custom ImageFile", which means importing a custom image file

650) this.width=650; "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/4C/66/wKiom1Q8ua2Af9wyAAHDMunavTc986.jpg "style=" float: none; "title=" 38.png "alt=" Wkiom1q8ua2af9wyaahdmunavtc986.jpg "/>

Navigate to C:\DeploymentShare\Captures\ and select "Win8_en_01" This is the image file we are going to import.

650) this.width=650; "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/4C/67/wKioL1Q8ueSwmDQoAAFzy2fKoLg242.jpg "style=" float: none; "title=" 39.png "alt=" Wkiol1q8ueswmdqoaafzy2fkolg242.jpg "/>

Now go back to the MDT console and you can see the image you just imported.

650) this.width=650; "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/4C/66/wKiom1Q8ubChnQDYAAIKK4JaAlk560.jpg "style=" float: none; "title=" 46.png "alt=" Wkiom1q8ubchnqdyaaikk4jaalk560.jpg "/>

After importing the operating system image you want to deploy, you are now creating a task sequence

Right-click Properties

650) this.width=650; "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/4C/66/wKiom1Q8uKPg5maqAAJQnoVTX3c992.jpg "title=" 1.png " Style= "Float:none;" alt= "wkiom1q8ukpg5maqaajqnovtx3c992.jpg"/>

Specify the task sequence ID, name, Chinese description, note that the ID number can not be duplicated here, the name and Chinese description must be clear, otherwise easy to confuse

650) this.width=650; "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/4C/67/wKioL1Q8uNrCjGcKAAHiqVgXjj4325.jpg "style=" float: none; "title=" 2.png "alt=" Wkiol1q8unrcjgckaahiqvgxjj4325.jpg "/>

Because the client operating system is deployed, the template type needs to select "Standard Clienttask Sequence"

650) this.width=650; "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/4C/66/wKiom1Q8uKOR9yPFAAGMDYOxi-I071.jpg "style=" float: none; "title=" 3.png "alt=" Wkiom1q8ukor9ypfaagmdyoxi-i071.jpg "/>

From the Task Sequence tab, expand Preinstall-"New computer Only"-"Format and Partition Disk"

You can see that the current partitioning method is to divide the entire hard disk into a partition, we delete the current partition mode, and then click the New button, we customize the first partition

Partition Type (partition Type): Improved in MDT2012, here can only select Primary (primary partition), used to know the previous version of the Friends, although it is possible to split the partition and logical partition, but once the logical partition of the deployment is definitely an error

Use specific size (use a specific size): System partition we define 20GB

Make this a boot partition (This is a boot partition): The first partition must be checked, or the system will not boot

File System (File System): NTFS and FAT32 can be selected

Quick Format (Quick Format): usually tick the

When the first partition is created, click OK

650) this.width=650; "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/4C/67/wKioL1Q8uN2RufycAAGBmU49bwA759.jpg "style=" float: none; "title=" 10.png "alt=" Wkiol1q8un2rufycaagbmu49bwa759.jpg "/>

Click the New button again, here I divide the remaining hard disk capacity into a partition, then choose "Usea Percentage of remaining free space", Size (%) set to "100"

650) this.width=650; "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/4C/66/wKiom1Q8uKfj7q92AAF83KCr72c026.jpg "style=" float: none; "title=" 11.png "alt=" Wkiom1q8ukfj7q92aaf83kcr72c026.jpg "/>

Now we can see that two partitions are created, and in the future the company's new computers can choose this task sequence for deployment, and the client will be partitioned according to the partitioning settings in this task sequence before deployment.

650) this.width=650; "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/4C/66/wKiom1Q8uKji_xJxAAQfWOSlV50185.jpg "style=" float: none; "title=" 12.png "alt=" Wkiom1q8ukji_xjxaaqfwoslv50185.jpg "/>

The previous partition settings are mainly for the new computer installed, and now you need to consider a situation, is now to deploy the system is not a new installation, but just upgrade the installation, users do not want to delete the data on the hard disk, then what to do? Let's take a look now.

When the task sequence properties are opened after creation, you need to switch to the Options tab and tick "Disable This step", which means that the procedure is disabled, which means that the system is not re-partitioned so that the data on the hard disk is still

650) this.width=650; "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/4C/67/wKioL1Q8uN-C66EBAAMnQei6Kug883.jpg "style=" float: none; "title=" 13.png "alt=" Wkiol1q8un-c66ebaamnqei6kug883.jpg "/>

Right-click on the "MDT Deployment Share" node and select "Update Deployment Share" For updates, we want to write the previous update into the PE

650) this.width=650; "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/4C/66/wKiom1Q8uKni7PSjAAH1DkTeLmQ529.jpg "style=" float: none; "title=" 14.png "alt=" Wkiom1q8ukni7psjaah1dktelmq529.jpg "/>

Now choose to fully regenerate the boot image

650) this.width=650; "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/4C/67/wKioL1Q8uOCRySBDAAHbMxASIYE003.jpg "style=" float: none; "title=" 15.png "alt=" Wkiol1q8uocrysbdaahbmxasiye003.jpg "/>

During the first "Update Deployment Share" operation, a LITETOUCHPE_ has been generated in the C:\DeploymentShare\Boot directory. X64.wim file, after the update operation, is actually to litetouchpe_x64.wim into a new update, now to the PE file as a WDS boot image, the client through PXE boot, will load this image, so as to achieve the operating system deployment

from the WDS Manager, expand to the boot images node, right-click on the right margin and select "Add boot image"650) this.width=650; "Src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/4C/66 /wkiom1q8ukvt3fpgaahotqjx6e4564.jpg "style=" Float:none; "title=" 18.png "alt=" wkiom1q8ukvt3fpgaahotqjx6e4564.jpg "/ >
