The input of the border device refers to the data that enters the network, and the output is the data that leaves the network. The data flow of input and output of a vswitch or access layer switch under a border device is the opposite of that of the border device.
Input of the access layer switch port refers to the data sent by the server to the switch port, that is, the data sent by the server.
The output of the access layer switch port refers to the data transmitted from the switch port to the server, that is, the data received by the server.
Glossary:
Access layer: The access layer is a part of the network that is directly connected to or accessed by users. The access layer allows end users to connect to the network. Therefore, the access layer switch has the features of low cost and high port density.
Border Device: A border device is a physical device that transmits data between different types of networks, such as Ethernet and ATM. A virtual border device is not responsible for collecting network routing information. It only uses the routing information obtained at the network layer. A vbr is a virtual border device.
