So in the range of 100 meters transmission bandwidth can be up to several GHz, cheap, vibration resistance, radiation, large diameter easy to connect, good flexibility of organic fiber is the ideal medium for short distance information high-speed access. The realization of all-optical switching system based on organic fiber is a good way to solve the problem of short range broadband optical access in the special environment such as complicated wiring and bad electromagnetic environment, and has a wide application prospect in ship internal communication and industrial control network.

Characteristics of organic fiber

Organic fiber is a new type of fiber optic cable material, which is made up of macromolecule organic matter, which has high transmission bandwidth (1~3GB/S), can match with quartz fiber bandwidth (2.5~1000gb/s), meets the technical requirement of high speed and low consumption, and has good confidentiality, strong anti-interference ability, lightning protection and light weight. , good toughness, simple construction, low modulus, large core diameter (0.3~1.0mm), easy to connect (use simple organic fiber connector, even if the optical fiber connecting center alignment produces m deviation will not affect coupling loss), light source cheap (650nm laser light source about 1~2 yuan/a), comprehensive cost low characteristics , it can be widely used in information and communication network, data communication network, national defense and State Security Network, Military communication network, office, community LAN, machine, vehicle communication network, industrial control network, etc., is a short range broadband, multi-contact communication network ideal transmission medium.

System Functional Structure

The system can be divided into 4 parts by functional structure, as shown in Figure 1.

The exchange control part completes the network Exchange, the management control function, realizes the network information Fast Exchange, this part is also the design key difficulty.

Network interface is mainly to provide a (or two) quartz fiber upstream interface and a number (8, 16, or 24) 650nm organic fiber downlink interface, through the upstream interface with the external network, users through the Downlink optical interface Access system.

The relay conversion part is mainly fiber relay amplifier, wavelength converter, photoelectric converter. The optical fiber relay amplifier is used to realize the transmission of the optical fiber signal relay, which can transmit the information in a long distance, and the wavelength converter completes the conversion between the different wavelengths transmitted by the quartz fiber and the organic fiber. The conversion between the electrical signal of the photoelectric converter and the light signals transmitted on the 650nm fiber. The user terminal part mainly is the terminal Optical Network card terminal access equipment, provides the network access interface for the computer and so on terminal equipment.

Network implementation Scheme

In this scenario, the backbone of the network--the team switch between the use of quartz fiber connection to ensure transmission distance and bandwidth, the Working Group and the user, the use of organic fiber connection, the entire local area network to achieve all the use of light to pass information. The network structure is shown in Figure 2. The system consists of a central routing switch, a network server, an organic fiber switch, a wavelength converter, a 650nm fiber relay, a 650nm photoelectric converter, and a 650nm Optical network card for terminal devices such as computers. And on the network server using Gigabit Organic fiber optic network card, and the central switch to the Gigabit interface, so that the server's access to the speed of gigabit.

The switch also provides one (or two) 1550nm, 1310nm or 850nm quartz fiber (1310nm) upstream interface and multiple (8, 16, or 24) 650nm organic fiber downlink (used as a computer and other terminal Equipment access network), Many manufacturers can provide this technology mature optical fiber transceiver, the switch is designed to fully meet the technical specifications of conventional Ethernet switches.
