Design reference: Defining and understanding context contexts

Contextual contexts give us all the reasons for how and why we want to communicate visually. As design is a set of needs and questions answered, context also determines the design of the answer. It is impossible to have a real background without context; it is simply skill and decoration (both cannot be equated with design).

Since all designs must be done in some context context. Defining and understanding context contexts should be the first step in design.

Contrast is one of the most basic tools of design and artistry. Use contrast to highlight something that we can focus on and attract attention to. But like every design and artistic principle and tool, in order to be impressive, the contrast requires context. Here's a simple exercise that shows how contextual contexts in our design affect comparisons.

For example, in the title, you want to use contrast to strongly higher a particular word and idea. Here is a title you intend to use.

Perhaps you want to emphasize "design", perhaps you want to emphasize "the Game", so you do this:

You stressed two ideas? Well, since your title starts with black and you turn the color of the word into red, it may be emphasizing "design," which appears to be supported in the following paragraphs.

But you know why? The word "design" is emphasized, not because it is red. It is emphasized but because all things are black on this page. The contextual context of the black theme makes the red stand out.

When we change the context, the idea becomes a little clearer, as in the following picture:

The title remains the same, but the new red theme makes the "Game" stand out on the page. Further expands and strengthens the red context by giving the page more red structure, as follows:

Notice how conspicuous "the Game" is.

We can reverse things and make "design" stand out by strengthening the context context of black. Like the following:

Using contrast to form semantic pun

It is not uncommon to use part of a simple whole piece of text as a mechanism for exchanging things, and there are many clever ways to exploit this mechanism. Let's use an example to show how a context can communicate more information than a title.

Let's start by introducing some comparisons. Like this:

There is a contrast, but there is still no clear dual message, because context has not yet formed. Let's add importance by adding context. Like this:

Did you see that? By increasing the overall color and a seemingly misplaced question mark, a new message quilt conveys-the problem.

These are just the basics, but I want them to help explain how context is better at determining what to communicate or how to communicate in a certain state. This is a processing method-as a designer you must be able to infer other experiences through simple examples. You have to learn the thoughts and experiences of the world around you. I hope this article shows the basics of other experiences.
