15.2.4 Tyre Modeling
Starting with the tire modeling, the tires are divided into 2 parts of tires and tyres, respectively, modeled, and finally merged together.
1. Wheel Frame Modeling
Hide the "body" and start Modeling "tires".
Build a cylinder in the position of "tyre". Set the parameter and rotate it 15 degrees, as shown in Figure 15-187.
Build a tubular body, set the parameters, and rotate it 10 degrees. Align the center of the two objects as shown in Figure 15-188.
Converts 2 objects to editable polygons and attaches them together. Named "Tires".
Select the 18 polygons in the diagram, and use the non-scaling button to zoom in the side view. The result is shown in Figure 15-189.
In vertex mode, adjust the vertices, as shown in Figure 15-190.
Select the rim of the chart and zoom in the side view. The result is shown in Figure 15-191.
Select the 12 faces selected in the diagram. Squeeze with the Extrude command, as shown in Figure 15-192.
Squeeze it again, as shown in Figure 15-193.
Select a circle of lines as shown. Connect using the Connect command, as shown in Figure 15-194.
Remove the selected polygon, as shown in Figure 15-195.
Weld vertices, as shown in Figure 15-196.
Select the circle surface of the diagram and squeeze it out with the Extrude command, as shown in Figure 15-197.
