Design theory: People-oriented design concept

When thought is divided into east and west, "Zen" as a representative of Oriental wisdom, many people fascinated. People seek the solution of life from the thought of "Zen".

The problem of life is to deal with all kinds of relationships: the relationship between people and others, the relationship with the world, and their own relationship. "Zen" through the continuous simplification of these relationships, so that people can from the complex appearance, see a profound essence, so as to understand the nature of impermanence of life, readily accept this nature, to the life of innocence, calm calmly. All in all, the "Zen" approach to existing relationships is "subtraction".

And what about design? Design is the initiative to create a relationship, create a relationship between people and things, and even by the relationship between people and things, to create the relationship between people. So, on the face of it, design is an addition to people's lives.

From "people-oriented" to "better people-centered"

Why are we becoming more and more lonely and unfamiliar in this age of machine and human creation over the number of people? In the Art of Love, Fromm thinks: "... Modern people have alienated themselves, their contemporaries and the nature. He became a commodity, ... The relationship between people is fundamentally unfamiliar to each other and is the relationship between automatic machines ... "I agree with that." At the same time, I also feel that in the things we design, we lose ourselves. We forget that these are made by us, and that we were more of a Reiki person. We should inject Reiki into the design of these things, instead of losing our aura in front of these objects, taking ourselves as a "machine" to dismantle, and renovating matches to meet some so-called "needs".

Know who we are

Here again "Zen", the wisdom that uses "subtraction" to make us feel more people.
