To install mplayer in Fedora 8, four packages are required: main program, skin, codecs, and wincodecs (win32 ). The programs I downloaded are as follows:

Src: MPlayer-1.0rc2.tar.bz2

Skin: Blue-1.4.tar.bz2

Codecs: all-20050412.tar.bz220.windows-all-20050115.zip

Note: If you want to use Mplayer to play the RMVB file, you need to download the other two packages: Maid (32-bit computer ).

2. Installation
