I. preparations:
1. Prepare the installation disc for Windows 2000 server Simplified Chinese version, and check whether the optical drive supports auto-start.
2. if possible, use the disk scan program to scan all hard disks to check hard disk errors and fix them before running the installer. Otherwise, it will be troublesome to check hard disk errors during the installation process.
3. Record the product key (installation serial number) of the Installation File with paper ).
4. if possible, use a driver backup tool (for example, driver genie 2004 V1.9 Beta.exe) to back up all drivers in the original Windows 2000 to the hard disk (for example, F: \ Drive ). It is best to write down the model and manufacturer of the main hardware such as the motherboard, Nic, and video card, and download the driver for backup in advance.
5. If you want to format disk C or disk D during installation (we recommend that you format disk C during installation), back up the useful data of disk C or disk D.
Ii. Start the system with a CD:
(If you already know how to do this, go to the next step), place the 2000 installation disc to the optical drive, restart the system, set the optical drive to the first boot disk, save the settings, and restart the system, you can see the installation interface without accident. If you do not know the specific method, please refer to the same --> how to enter the pure dossystem:

Format the drive C of the selected partition. Press the F key to format the drive c. 7 is displayed.

Figure 8 is formatting the C partition; the formatting partition option can be provided during installation only when you start or install the boot floppy disk to start the Windows2000 installer; if you start to enter DOS with a MS-DOS boot disk, when you run i386 \ winnt to install Windows2000, there is no formatting partition option when installing Windows2000.
