The method for applying for RHCE is also a little different from that for MCSE and CCNA. It does not register with Prometric or VUE. All RHCE tests are arranged and co-organized by RedHat, the examination time is also determined by them. Generally, the RHCE test is held once or twice a month, and the test site is not fixed. During the registration process, RedHat is responsible for the registration process. Therefore, you must first download the form on the RedHat webpage and then fax it to the Hong Kong office of RedHat, after confirmation, they will send you an email about the exam details, including the location and time. You only need to report to the specified test site on the day of the test. I remember that when I took the RHCE test, I arrived at the test venue at that morning. Troubleshooting is not printed on the examination paper, but on the computer. The purpose of the examination is to write the content about this question after you finish each question, and briefly describe your methods and processes for solving this problem.

The method for starting the first question is to use the KickStart disk to put it into the computer Boot machine, and then the computer will automatically download the RedHat installer from the Server to the examinee's computer, there are not many things to set during the entire process, so you can automatically install the computer. Since this installer does not have too many Packages on the computer, it usually takes 10-15 minutes to install the complete computer, and then Reboot can be completed, but after Reboot ...... The problem is that the computer cannot be activated normally and enters Shell Prompt or X Window. The test requirement is that you can solve the problem and restore the computer to normal. In fact, there is a problem with the so-called boot, because during the RedHat Linux installation process, the Server has been secretly behind your hands and feet, causing problems on your computer, it is usually caused by modifying some configuration files behind the system, so that you will not be able to boot normally. In fact, as long as you know the problem, and then use the RedHat Linux CD-ROM to activate the computer, and then enter the Rescue Mode, find the relevant configuration file after correction, then Save and Reboot, if the problem has been resolved, this is a smooth pass, of course, it is best to go through the confirmation again, then you can raise your hand, the examiner will go to your side to check your computer, he will Reboot your computer again, make sure that the entire Bootup process is correct, and you can smoothly enter X Windows, He will give scores and sign the exam. At this time, you can breathe a sigh of relief, but there are still three questions waiting for you to solve. At this time, you can use the KickStart disk to activate the computer, continue to install a "problematic" Linux, and continue to solve the next problem.

If you have completed all four questions and can solve them one by one, congratulations. In this part, you can get a 100% score, but if you only answer three questions correctly, be careful, because you only have 75 points, and the total acceptable average score of RHCE cannot be less than 80%, so this part is lower than the average score, the only way is to win the loss of 5% in the remaining two parts.
