Windows Phone 7 is coming soon. Microsoft recently released a series of detailed implementation rules for the software store of Windows Phone 7, so that developers can know in advance what preparations are required to submit an application to the software store. Although Microsoft has released a development tool for Windows Phone 7 in advance, developers have to use simulators or tablets for running and testing. Therefore, hardware support such as gravity sensing and multi-point control is required.ProgramIt is not sure whether Windows Phone 7 works well. The good news is that developers can upload your developed Windows Phone 7 Application and game to the Windows Phone 7 software store, in this way, Microsoft's internal staff can test and feedback your application :)
I think Microsoft has two purposes in doing so. One is to have enough formal software available when Windows Phone 7 is officially released. The other is to make statistics on the types and categories of various software in advance, so as to provide guidance for the development of missing applications. The following are the current software store cooperation specifications for reference only (changes may occur before and after the release of Windows Phone 7 ):
- developer's annual registration fee is $90
- All applications will have strict content and technical certifications
- application revenue: 70% for developers and 30% for software stores
- the software store supports credit card transactions and settlement services provided by mobile operators
- a new optional push notification service to facilitate interaction between developers and customers
- Microsoft only pays for the application when the sales volume reaches $200. The payment cycle is once a month.
- each account can submit five applications for free, but the excess is charged at $19.99
- developers can view the application's sales business through services on http://developer.windowsphone.com sites
- for students participating in the dreamspark program, the registration fee is not charged, but if more than five programs are submitted, the fee is USD 19.99 per application.
- supports multiple business models: free, paid, advertising, and the freemium mode that allows users to use free versions, and advanced versions that allow users to use free versions
- Microsoft will continue to refine and improve the detailed implementation rules of the software store and provide developers with a more comprehensive guide for application submission, so that programmers can clearly understand the entire use process of the software store
- the Windows Phone 7 software store has the global distribution function, which means you only need to pay for it once, microsoft will promote your applications to various countries and regions that support software stores
- A new API trial, which means that you can try your program. If you do not like it, the customer will not buy your application. The duration and type of the application trial are completely controlled by developers
